How to Verify an Omega Market Mirror Before You Trust It
The most dangerous moment in darknet shopping is the one where you assume a link is the real thing. Phishing clones are built precisely for that assumption. They look identical, they use the same name, and they are waiting for you to type in your password. Verification is how you avoid handing it to them.
Check the address first
Compare the onion address you are about to open against the list on the mirrors page, character for character. A single swapped letter is enough to land you somewhere else entirely. Copy and paste rather than typing by hand. If a source presents an address that does not match the official list, do not open it until you have confirmed it independently.
Then check the key
Once the page loads, confirm the PGP fingerprint matches the one published on the security page. The address gets you to the right door. The key tells you the person behind it is who they claim to be. Do both. Either one alone is not enough, because a clone can copy an address and a clone can copy a key, but a clone copying both at the same time is a much harder lift.
