Moved here after my previous market had a rough quarter. The interface is the cleanest I have used in a while and search actually finds things. First order arrived in four days, sealed, nothing missing. I kept my balance small for the first month on purpose and it has not given me a reason to change that yet.
Omega Market reviews
From the communityThese are unfiltered notes from people who have actually ordered through the market, collected from the forum and from buyers who sent them in. Ratings are their own. We have not edited the wording, only trimmed the parts that named a vendor. Treat them the way you would treat anything in this space: useful signal, not a guarantee.
Solid. The one thing that annoyed me is the first load through a new circuit can take a couple of minutes and I almost gave up. Once it is up it is quick. PGP setup took me longer than I expected because I am not great with keys, but the built-in tool got me there. Would rate five except for that slow first handshake.
Been on and off the scene for six years and this is the first market where the dispute process felt like it actually listened. Had a vendor short me by a gram, opened a ticket with photos, and the refund landed in my wallet within a week. That alone is worth staying for.
Good selection, fair prices, and the Monero support is the reason I switched. I do wish the catalogue was deeper in a couple of categories. It is not the biggest market out there, so if you are hunting for something very specific you may need to check a second market. For what it carries, it is reliable.
The clearnet page doing the mirror rotation for me has saved me more than once. I stopped losing sleep about which address was current. Support answered a PGP question the same day I posted it. For a market that could easily be silent, that responsiveness is rare.
It works, I will give it that. My only real complaint is that a couple of the bigger vendors had long shipping windows and I had to wait. Not the market fault, more the vendor, but it is how the experience feels from the buyer seat. If you are in a hurry, order from vendors with fast feedback.
Clean, quiet, no nonsense. No flashy banners, no popups begging for a deposit. You log in, you browse, you buy, you go. That restraint is exactly what I want from a market. The escrow is straightforward and I have not had to think about it, which is the highest compliment I can give a payment system.
Started small, stayed small, and it has been fine. The vendor feedback system is detailed enough that I can tell who is worth ordering from before I spend a cent. Knocked one star because the mobile experience through Tor on Android is a little clunky. On a laptop it is a non-issue.
Reading these fairly
A five-star review and a three-star review can both be accurate. The person who got a fast delivery and the person who waited two weeks were both buying from the same market on the same day. What tends to separate a good experience from a bad one is not the platform so much as the specific vendor and how carefully you set up your own side. The pattern across the notes above is consistent: people who did their PGP, used escrow, and started small came away satisfied. The grumbles cluster around vendor shipping times and the slow first load, both of which are manageable if you know they are coming.

Deciding whether to try it
The cheapest way to find out is a small first order with an established vendor. The access guide walks through the whole setup.
