Omega Market FAQ

19 questions

The questions people actually ask, answered plainly. No filler, no restating the obvious. If your question is not here, the market support channel is the place to ask it, and the guides cover the longer topics.

Getting started

What is Omega Market?
Omega Market is a darknet marketplace that runs on the Tor network. Vendors list products, buyers pay into escrow, and the market holds the funds until delivery is confirmed. It is reached through a .onion address, not a normal web address, which is why this clearnet page exists to point you to the current one.
Is Omega Market a real market?
Yes. It has been operating since 2025, publishes a PGP key, runs escrow, and has an active vendor base. Like any market in this space, it can change or disappear, but it is a functioning store, not a placeholder. The best test is a small first order.
How do I find the current onion link?
On the mirrors page of this site. There are three working addresses and they all lead to the same store. Copy one, open it in Tor Browser, and you are in. Bookmark this page rather than a single link, because the addresses rotate.
Do I need a special browser?
Yes, the Tor Browser. It is free and available for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android. A normal browser cannot open a .onion address properly. There is no official iOS build, so iPhone users typically use a laptop or an Android device.
Is it free to use?
Browsing and buying cost nothing beyond the price of what you order. There is no registration fee and no buyer commission. The only fee in the system is the 5% that vendors pay to sell, which is already included in the prices you see.

Money

Which currencies does Omega accept?
Monero (XMR) is the native currency. Bitcoin (BTC) and Litecoin (LTC) are also accepted and converted. Monero is the cleanest choice because it hides the sender, receiver, and amount. Bitcoin and Litecoin are public ledgers, so how you handle them matters.
Does the market charge fees?
Buyers pay nothing extra. Deposits and withdrawals carry no market fee. Vendors pay a 5% commission on sales. You will only ever pay a small network fee to move crypto, which is charged by the blockchain, not the market.
How do I get Monero if I only have cash?
You buy it first, then move it to the market. The market does not sell crypto to you. If privacy matters, buy through a method that does not require your identity and move the coins to a fresh address before sending them to your market wallet.
How long does a deposit take to show up?
It depends on the currency and network congestion. Monero confirms in roughly one to two minutes. Bitcoin can take longer. Do not open a support ticket the moment you send. Give it time to confirm first.

Safety

Is my identity safe on Omega?
As safe as your habits make it. There is no KYC and no email requirement. Browse through Tor, use a username and password you do not use anywhere else, keep your PGP key private, and do not repeat credentials across sites. The market hides your IP through Tor. You are responsible for not handing out your name.
What is PGP and why do I need it?
PGP is an encryption standard. Omega requires you to set up a PGP key so that messages between you and vendors are private and so you can verify a reply really came from the vendor. The market has built-in tools to generate and import a key. The security page walks through it.
What is escrow?
Escrow is the market holding your payment until you confirm you received the order. It means a vendor cannot simply take your money and vanish. If something goes wrong, you open a dispute and the market decides where the funds go.
What happens if a vendor scams me?
Open a dispute with the market and provide your evidence, screenshots, and messages. Outcomes depend on the case, but escrow means you have a chance to recover the funds instead of losing them outright. Starting with small orders from established vendors is how most people avoid the problem entirely.
How do I know a mirror is the real one?
Compare the address to the list on this site, character for character, and check that the PGP fingerprint matches the one on the security page. Phishing clones copy the look but not the address or the key.

Using the market

How long do orders take to arrive?
It varies by vendor and destination. Many orders arrive within a few days, some take longer depending on where you are and how the vendor ships. Check the vendor feedback for shipping times before you order. If speed matters, pick vendors with fast, recent feedback.
Can I order from anywhere in the world?
Most vendors ship internationally, but a few restrict certain regions. Read the listing. Some countries also have laws that make receiving these orders a personal risk, which is yours to weigh. The market does not tell you what is legal where you live.
Is there a minimum order?
There is no market-wide minimum. Individual vendors may set their own, and some will not ship very small amounts because the cost does not work for them. A modest first order is the norm.
Can I message vendors?
Yes, through the market, and the messages are PGP encrypted. This is how you ask questions, arrange shipping, or flag a problem. Keep the conversation on the market rather than moving it to an external channel.
What is the Dread forum and do I need it?
Dread is a public forum where much of the darknet community talks, including about Omega. You do not need it to shop, but it is where a lot of the word of mouth happens and where the market sometimes posts. Following it helps you stay informed without having to take any single source on faith.

Still stuck

Two places get you further. The security page if your problem is with keys, signatures, or not trusting a message. And the market support channel if you need a person to look at a specific order or deposit. Send questions to [email protected] or post on the market forum.

Ready when you are

The whole setup, from Tor to first order, is in the access guide. It takes about fifteen minutes the first time.
